Information But No News

I sent an email to our agency last week seeing if they had heard any response after we sent in the addendum for the dossier. They said the addendum only got sent down there on April 8th and it usually takes at least 8 weeks to receive a response back from the ICBF. I'm glad to hear it got down there (although I thought it got sent weeks ago). So hopefully, we will receive word that we are approved sometime in June. No other news to report, we've just been trying to keep ourselves distracted as much as we can until we hear word. Thanks to everyone who left comments to my last post, we feel much better about things now!

Hey guys,
Glad it's there - maybe it is already approved and you just won't hear for a bit yet. Our addendum should be making it's way to us from our SW this week and to CHI by early next. Oh how we love addendums, huh? :)
Take care.

Hey guys! Hang in there we had hang ups with our dossier also so I understand the frustration. We will be praying for your dossier approval. We will also be praying for you as you wait. You know what Julie said to us when we heard our dossier was not approved and things were on hold... go on vacation... enjoy some things that will be harder to do with babies! It was good advice :)

Oh what a long slow process. Fortunately it will all be worth it when everything is finally straightened out. Time flies when you're having fun so I agree with the earlier post - do some fun things. And hang in there. And remember, we're here for support. Love Gr'ma Fisher

At the end of the journey you won't remember this bump. I promise. And since I firmly believe that all of the bumps and misdirections put us in the perfect position for the child/ren that are meant to be ours...it just means that they need a little more time to get ready for you.

I know being on the other side makes that easier to say...but I can promise you the delay we experienced last summer while completely nerve racking at the time I look back on and hardly recall. And had it not been for that time we would have most likely been given a different child and while that would have been fine...Mateo is such a perfect fit for us. Our delay was about 4-5 weeks and Mateo was ok'd to be adopted about 2 weeks before they assigned him to us.
