Weekend Colombian News

The situation between Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador has seemed to really cool off over the weekend. Not that they are going to all be buddies anytime soon but we are very thankful that the situation is being resolved. It's in my opinion that Latin American will not be able to start getting rid of FARC until Chavez gets chased out of there... and by the way he is treating his people and and the rest of the world I don't think it will be long.

In other news over the weekend, there was a riot at a soccer game in Cali. At least 80 are injured with ten of them being pretty seriously injured. We hope everyone has a speedy recovery, apparently a pregnant woman was hurt as well. You can read a short article and see video of the brawl here.

Wow! All those people going crazy - it reminded me of fire ants when you kick into a pile of them. That could really be scary if you were an innocent person just there to watch a game. You guys better be careful what kind of entertainment you look for while you're there.

Soccer probably won't be on the list! I've heard of other South American countries having riot problems during and after sporting events. They love their futball down there!
