Back to the Daily Grind

Just a little update to say nothing new has happened. Our complete dossier got sent down to Colombia about 2 1/2 months ago and nothing has happened since then. The next step is for the ICBF (Colombian Family Welfare Institute) to approve our dossier and then place us on "the waiting list." This normally takes 3-5 months after the dossier has been sent to Colombia. I do know that a lot of other dossiers got sent down there around the same time so it may be awhile until we hear anything. We do expect to be approved, our agency would have almost certainly caught something before this point that they would foresee as a problem. So that's where we are now.

Tim and I are planning to take a Spanish class through Topeka's Park & Rec program and we have loaded Rosetta Stone onto our computer so we are all ready to go. We probably will not start the class and program until January because all the holiday stuff will be keeping us pretty busy. I have been planning a few craft projects for the baby and will be sure to post pictures once I have those finished. I will be trying to update the blog more, I hope to include some information on what we are learning about adoption, Colombia and how to be parents!
